Late Summer Orchard Session
There’s something about running through an orchard in late summer—the air just hinting at cooler days ahead, the colors just a little warmer, and the sense that another season is quietly making its way in. It felt like the perfect backdrop for this sweet family session.
This precious momma is a long-time friend, which made this time together even more meaningful. We first met in computer class in sixth grade. She dropped her shoebox filled with photos next to my parents’ studio album. Little did I know how the coming years would unfold or the friendship that would grow from that second floor computer class.
Twenty years later our friendship is such a beautiful gift- celebrating graduations, marriages, moves, and babies. It has been an honor to document each new chapter and an even bigger blessing to walk alongside one another in them.
This session was especially tender. These are their last few weeks as a family of four before welcoming a new little one into their arms. We spent our time exploring the rows of trees, soaking in the golden light, and celebrating both the season around us and the season they’re stepping into as a family.
I’m so thankful to witness and capture these milestones—the quiet smiles, the laughter between siblings, the way anticipation and love shine through in every glance. These photographs are a way to pause, to hold on to this chapter before life shifts and grows once again.
So grateful for walking alongside this story, year after year. It is an honor to celebrate this family, their love, and the beauty of each new season.
