Surprise Proposal in Summit County Metro Parks
He was the winner of our spring giveaway from the Chagrin Falls Market. He put it towards a couples session, or at least that what his girlfriend thought at the time. After being together since college and spending some time together in the City of Love (looking at you Paris) without a proposal, she had NO idea that on this particular night, he would pop the question that would change their future.
He chose the Summit County Metro Parks because they had spent a lot of time together adventuring when they both attended Akron U. The parks offer so many amazing opportunities for photos that feel like you're not in Ohio, especially this place. The Cascade Metro Park covers a vast area, offering a variety of trails, recreational activities, a reception venue, and this beautiful overlook.
After a few minutes of getting acquainted and walking up to the overlook spot, I took a few solo shots of her looking off into the distance while he got ready. Once he was in place, I had her turn around to walk toward him. In complete surprise she ended up embracing him while he was still kneeling, both soaking in the monumental moment. Once they were ready we continued the session with a few more shots, sitting on our blanket, dancing under the trees, and walking along the trails.
